1 band + another = I still can't do pull-ups

Well last night was interesting... I was hoping for less running and I got it.  Unfortunately it was replaced by 30 pull-ups that kicked my butt!!!

We started out with an inch warm down the mats and lunges on the way back.  During the inch worm my only wish was to be a 2-inch worm... We did that twice for the warm up along with some core rocking exercises that proved to make me feel like I have no rhythm or control over my body.  I was laughing the whole time.

Next we tried out the rowing machine, I had never done this before so I was curious to see how I did.  The goal was to keep an even pace of 30 rows per minute. During the little practive session I could barely get to 25.

WOD: 1000k row, 50 thrusters, 30 pull-ups

As soon as Jon said "go" you better believe that I kept my rowing pace right up between 28 and 32. You also better believe that after 1000k of rowing, I was out of breath and light headed on my way to do thrusters.  I did about 15 thrusters with a 25lbs bar before Jon came to tell me I wasn't squatting far enough and because my range of motion isn't where most peoples is (inset lame knee surgery excuse here), he had me switch to another excersize with a 45 pound bar  instead, and that proved sooo hard! Just as I was about to be proud of myself for finishing the 2nd part of the WOD I felt how jello-y my arms felt and remembered pull-ups were last. 30 pull-ups. Oh God. By the end I had 2 bands around my foot helping to pull me up and about 6 people standing around me telling me I could do it.  I did nowhere near 30 pull-ups; probably more like 20.

My final time was 17:24, and I was proud to say that I worked out longer than anyone else (although that really isn't the goal)!

Next week I'm signing the papers and taking this ass beating on 3 times a week! Maybe I'll get my boyfriend a gift certificate for massage classes for christmas...
